The spiritual musical work for voices composed on the occasion of the death of his Lord, Heinrich Posthumus of Reuss, is the Lutheran equivalent to the obsequies of the Roman Catholic Church. The CD combines five elaborate penitential psalms which were selected from two collections, "Becker Psalter" and "Psalms of David." The artists once again find a compromise between historical accuracy and the demands of a compelling and lively interpretation of sacred music.
