The first is from Australia's Flinders Quartet who have teamed up with the excellent guitarist, Karin Schaupp who's Rodrigo CD last year was such a hit. This latest CD is entitled Fandango and features the famous Boccherini Fandango Quintet alongside a real rarity – a Haydn Guitar Quartet – and some more modern music by Pujol which is particularly reminiscent of Piazzolla in its tango infused sound-world and immediate appeal. This is one of those lively and engaging discs that works equally well for late night listening and music to dine by. Check out the link below to see what I mean.
