The box set is themed, with the first three discs filled entirely with popular opera arias by Puccini, Verdi and Donizetti, among others, starting with the most famous of all arias, ‘Nessun dorma’. The fourth disc is entirely devoted to sacred music, while the final two discs celebrate popular song, including the best-loved Neapolitan Songs that were such a feature of this artist’s repertoire.
