Anyone who has collected their Christmas Story or the previous Luke’s and John’s Passions will not hesitate, for this is every bit as good. This is far from Bach’s (by comparison) extrovert view. Indeed this ranks among the most contemplative of treatments of the Passion story. Ars Nova were 2010 Grammy Winners in the Best Small Ensemble Performance Category by the way – and well deserved."
